Once you have completed building a course (or after making edits to an existing course), the next step is to "Publish" your content which will prepare it for downloading, delivery, and deployment.
Clicking the “Publish” button has different behaviors depending on the type of course session you’re dealing with. See the DEPLOY guide to learn more about setting up publishing destinations. Check out the Course Sessions Guide to learn about Master/Child sessions.
- For never Deployed course sessions: Publish will transform unpublished content into "Published" content (remember to Publish before downloading your course if you will be manually uploading your course package file to an LMS/website).
- For Deployed sessions: Publish transforms the unpublished content and also sends the newly published content directly to its deployment destination.
From the Create Timeline click the Toolbar, Module, or Learning card ellipsis to open the pop-up menu.
- Publish the Course
- Publish a Module
- Publish a Learning Card
From the pop-up menu select Publish and click Yes to confirm.
